@koreatimescokr NO! the law was changed to prevent abuse of law makers sending their kids overseas to avoid military service, so NO to bts! If Rep. Noh Woong-rae is looking to exempt someone, amend the law to automatically exempt adoptees first; NOT bts. Korea needs to STOP IGNORING ADOPTEES!

Today, Adoptees lost an important acheivement, having an Adoptee Representative on the Board of Directors for Korea Adoption Services. The National Center for the Rights of Children assume the rights and responsibilities of Korea Adoption Services.

It's appalling this still continues in Korea. This woman left her child with a pastor/facility, when she returned to visit her child, the pastor said the child had died. 15 yrs later they're reunited. @TheBlueHouseENG @moonriver365

The @moonriver365 administration is tearing apart what adoptees have worked hard to achieve. There will no longer be a semi-governmental organization specifically dedicated for adoptees. Korea Adoption Services will be disolved on July 16.

A: We are still fighting to be acknowledged by the Korean Government, but the private agencies still have a financial interest in our lives.
