“Friends not so many, mentors though, yes.”
Much had happened behind the scenes, Kalamede had been extremely hard at work. Her promise was never taken lightly, she cared deeply about doing right and breathing life back into that decaying universe.
“I am learning so much, about
“I am glad to hear that, it is truly a fun place to be.”
She looked much better, her eyes did not hold that same sadness as before. But what else has she seen? Eris had to know!
“Did you find anything you really like? Or maybe more friends?”
“Thankfully, yes.” Kalamede pulled back, her hands still affectionately grasping at her shoulders. “I’ve learned so much in my time away. It’s truly an amazing world out there!”
“WAAA—!”
She wasn’t quite ready for the sudden hug, but quickly returned it. Her chest rumbling loudly as she squeezed Kalamede tightly.
“I have missed you as well! Has all been well?”
When Eris’ voice registered Kalamede shook off the dizziness and sat up, whipping her head around to confirm—it is! “Eris! My friend!” Now Kalamede is the one glomping onto her best of friends. “I missed you!”
“Weeeeee!!”
She squealed happily as the two rolled downhill. The two lay beside each other as they met the bottom, Eris being the cackling one of the two.
“I got you, my friend!”
“Eee—!?”
Zoning out just the moment before left poor Kalamede unprepared. The placement couldn’t have been worse either; both of them went rolling off a grassy hillside, coming to a stop at the very bottom. There all five of her eyes swirled (😵💫) in dizziness. “Wha happen…”
(She was but perhaps not in the way he might be thinking? Her mind was more curious about if he had actually met other pretty purple people, she knows she hasn’t.
If she’s the only one then even better.)
Okaaaaaaay. (With hands behind her back, she grins real big and leans her
(Oh. She was actually asking... That caught him a bit off guard.)
Well... You are.
I suppose I haven't shown you how serious I am about us. The blame is on me for that.
When his arms embrace her eyes close and body leans further into him, finding the greatest comfort in his presence. The way he was so gentle to her made her feel like she was genuinely wanted. It could be a little overwhelming to think about, to feel, but she loved it and she
"You don't have to say anything..."
Raditz' muscled arms naturally came around her, a hand on her back and the other gently stroking her purple tendrils. He kissed the top of Kalamede's head, letting her settle into the embrace.
otherwise she would’ve gotten him something too.
“Thank you.” She stepped closer, getting up on her tippy toes to kiss him on the very corner of his lips, then lowering to rest her cheek on his chest. “You’ve always been so kind to me, I don’t know what to say…”
“Raditz…” She repeated, softer this time, her metaphorical heart skipping a beat. He was so kind, not to mention abundantly sweet. The only sweet thing she truly loved. Though, looking at these gifts now made her feel a slight bit selfish. She wasn’t aware today was an occasion,
"But of course."
The typical look of arrogance Raditz usually held melted away as he watched her take the gifts, feeling his cheat swell at the emotion plain on her face. He couldn't help but smile at how genuinely beautiful Kalamede looked in that moment.
But above all, being given something at all was truly touching, even more when it was from him, her favorite person.
“Raditz…” She reached forward, taking the gifts in her hands. “You got these for me…?”
Her eyes lit up, quite literally gleaming a brighter shade of red, only dulled by her pupils forming and dilating for a moment. She often wasn’t the most privy to cultural gestures but she knew flowers were a romantic gift. The addition of new treats to try was another benefit.
From behind his back, he procures an extravagant bouquet of irises, daisies and apple blossoms in one hand. In the other, he holds a basket with grapefruit and some varieties of salted nuts.
"A little something for the season," he said, looking proud of himself.
