Okay, I saw this earlier and finally got time to respond.
Yahweh is not simply “the Jewish term for God.” YHWH is the personal covenant name of the god identified in the Hebrew Bible as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jews traditionally avoid pronouncing it and substitute Adonai or HaShem.
“Allah” is simply the Arabic word for God. Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews use it too. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam disagree profoundly about god’s nature, but all three claim to worship the one creator worshipped by Abraham.
The Hebrew Bible/Old Testament:
Exodus 3:6, 15 identifies YHWH as “the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob” and calls YHWH his name forever.
Deuteronomy 6:4 says, “YHWH our God, YHWH is one.”
Isaiah 45:5 says, “I am YHWH, and there is no other.”
The New Testament identifying Jesus with YHWH:
John 1:1–3, 14 says the Word was God, created all things, and became flesh as Jesus.
John 8:58 has Jesus say, “Before Abraham was, I am.”
John 20:28 has Thomas address Jesus as “My Lord and my God.”
Joel 2:32 says everyone who calls upon the name of YHWH will be saved. Romans 10:9–13 applies that passage directly to calling upon Jesus as Lord.
Isaiah 45:23 says every knee will bow and every tongue swear allegiance to YHWH. Philippians 2:10–11 then applies that language to Jesus.
Hebrews 1:8–12 calls the Son “God” and applies Psalm 102’s description of YHWH as the eternal creator directly to him.
So according to historic Nicene Christianity, praying to Jesus is not avoiding YHWH. Jesus is included within the identity of the god of Israel. According to your own theology, praying to Jesus is praying to Yahweh because the gather and son share the one divine identity.
The Quran identifying Allah as Abraham’s God:
Quran 2:133 says Jacob’s children worshipped “your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, one God.”
Quran 2:136 and 3:84 affirm belief in what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus.
Quran 4:163 says Allah revealed himself to Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus.
Most explicitly, Quran 29:46 tells Muslims to say to Jews and Christians, “Our God and your God is one.”
Islam therefore claims that Allah is the same one god worshipped by Abraham and the biblical prophets. It rejects the Christian identification of Jesus with that god, but it teaches the exact opposite of Allah being some unrelated “Muslim god.”
So yes, you can direct your prayers specifically to Jesus. But under Christian theology, Jesus is not an alternative to Yahweh. He is identified with the god of Israel.
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam disagree about the nature of that god, revelation, the trinity, and Jesus. They may even accuse one another of idolatry, false worship, or being satanic. But they all claim continuity with the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob rather than entirely unrelated deities. Same god, viewed through different lenses.
I unironically thought of this copy pasta when I first fucked my gf from behind the other week. It actually helped me find the hole through all of the ass. The butthole acts as the north star that leads you to the vagina.
