โPrincess behaviorโ is supposed to be derogatory in this context yeah ?
I swear to God, the way Women label themselves โinferiorโ is just so funny.
I saw this video on X yesterday. Some say it's a skit, while others say it's real. The message is, however, the same. A lot of nigerian women folk expected gifts from their boyfriends for Girlfriend's Day.
And in the run down to the August 1 Girlfriend Day there were WhatsApp status update pointing men to the fact the the day was coming.
Now, I don't know if it's just plain ignorance or greed, but a little study regarding why Girlfriends day was created by the people who created it would tell you that the day has nothing to do with men.
Girlfriends day is a day picked by the female gender to celebrate their female friends
National Girlfriends Day was created in 2006 by Allie Savarino Kline and Sally Rodgers. The ladies also created a website that no longer exists (https://t.co/hkMTML9h2K).
In keeping with the original intent of this day to celebrate gal pals, be sure to let your fellow girlfriends know how special or important they are to you. If you can, go out to lunch, take a walk, or a have a drink together with your girl-friend. Otherwise, engage in social media to connect in ways only girlfriends can!
I know social media has tried so hard to fit the man into this, but that was never the idea.
There's no way a man fits into this.
I know some men who were trapped by their women into this day, and I'll say, if the women created a day to celebrate themselves, leave the men out of it. And you men folk, learn to mind your own business.
You can start now. I'm open to the insults.
