[MS Ingawa @MSIngawa]

So Elrufai too is being tagged among those who “maintained silence against Northern President”?😂😂

Somebody that took Buhari to court in support of Asiwaju? Nawa

Why do we always make everything “South vs North” fight on every national discourse?

Elrufai has one of the most individual contributions among Northerners to the success of Asiwaju in 2023 and no English can erase that history.

Why dont we just try to answer the question raised by Waziri and shared by Elrufai instead of just bringing in sentiments and comparisons?

Buhari borrowed money to build rail line (just about 20km) to Niger because the rail project is Federal Government Project and part of the national rail line network aimed at boosting inter-country trade.

Lagos rail on the other hand is a state owned project and being funded by monies sourced from federal budget indirectly through MOFI. The mandate of MOFI justifies investment anywhere and on every project of economic importance but the major question still remains: why a Lagos project when every other state has a project on queue awaiting funding?

Let’s always separate emotions from such discussions to promote national unity.

PRESS STATEMENT

FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY TO LEADERSHIP @LeadershipNGA

Former President Muhammadu Buhari
has lauded the 20 years of the Leadership newspapers and remarked that the publication is a phenomenal platform for contributing to national progress and well-being, positivity and collective goodness.

In a message addressed to the chairperson, management and staff of the newspapers to mark the occasion, the former President equally congratulated them on their success in keeping in line with the hope and aspirations of the founding chairman, late Sam NDA-Isaiah, whom he said was a friend who made immeasurable contributions to his political odysseys.

“Leadership continues as a personification of the ideals that the late Sam had for a platform celebrating positivity. I have always cherished the Leadership newspapers over the years as a platform celebrating positivity and collective goodness.

“Let me use this opportunity to make an open acknowledgement of the tremendous support I enjoyed from the Leadership newspapers before, during, and after my eight years in office as president. You stood with me through rain and sunshine, and I always appreciate you for your consistency in this.

“As you chalk 20 years of unbroken publication – a significant feat in a country characterized by a very harsh publishing climate – I say ‘cheers from the bottom of my heart.’

“May Sam rest in peace; may the Leadership newspapers continue to grow in its chosen role as a chronicle and a lightning rod for positivity and public good. Happy Anniversary.”
