Regional imbalance in job reservations is fueling deep resentment in Kashmir. We have long proposed division-wise reservation as a fair and practical solution. It ensures proportional representation based on population and backwardness across Jammu and Kashmir not blanket benefits favoring one at the cost of another.
This model is not only constitutionally viable but also socially stabilizing. It addresses historic imbalances without inciting regional conflict.
Time for @OmarAbdullah and all stakeholders to rise above politics and adopt this rational, inclusive approach.
