Almost always better to keep all discussions threaded in the main project channel so other people can stay up to date on what's going on vs. playing telephone.
My grandfather used to say effort was the great equalizer.
You can’t buy effort.
You can’t pay someone to:
- do that workout
- build a loving partnership
- create a parent-child bond
- find inner peace
Rich or poor, the stakes are always the same to earn things that matter.
Here’s a sad realization but a truth.
the potential you see in other people isn’t real. It’s a mirror of what YOU would do if you were in there position.
Rarely is there potential realized, so take people for who they are today.
It’s better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed by a self-made false reality.
The Paradox of Fear: The thing we fear the most is often the thing we most need to do.
The most successful people in the world make a habit of running at things that scare the hell out of them.
Fears are growth limiters or amplifiers based on how you choose to confront them.
To build real business relationships, try to do less emails and more calls.
This has been a huge focus for me in 2023.
It’s especially helpful when delivering congratulatory notes, positive updates, or bad news.
Plus, if you can solve a big problem, you're more likely to make a lasting impact on the world. And isn't that what entrepreneurship is all about? Making a difference and leaving a legacy.
