One thing about Nigerians on this internet, today they will drag you, insult you, destroy your name and turn your pain into entertainment. Tomorrow when something happens to you, the same people will gather to type “RIP legend” and write emotional paragraphs.

Children who still need help tying their slippers.
Children who still get scared of thunder.
Children who still believe adults are supposed to protect them.
But we failed them.
A nation that cannot protect its children
is a nation slowly burying its future alive.
Forty-six children.
Forty-six homes cracked open by pain.
Mothers staring at doors that no longer open,
fathers fighting tears behind trembling prayers.
What exactly are we celebrating
when children are becoming headlines instead of dreams?
When innocence is kidnapped with guns?
When parents must choose between hope and heartbreak every night?
The sad part is that some people never even get the chance to defend themselves or clear their names before the world moves on.
May his soul rest in peace.

Now everybody suddenly remembers kindness. This internet can be very wicked sometimes. People forget celebrities are human beings too. Not every battle people are fighting will be visible online.
When Alex Ekubo was alive, people called him all sorts of names, mocked him endlessly after his relationship ended, spread rumours, and pushed narratives like they personally lived with him.

If a policeman can do this in broad daylight, imagine what they would do at night or the ones we don’t even see online. Don’t say anything, just RT. 💔
This has to stop. #EndpoliceBrutality
I can’t focus. That video hasn’t left my mind all day.
That boy saw death coming and kept begging, pleading with someone who is meant to protect him to spare his life.
The officer wasn’t even in uniform. He picked up a rifle and still went through with it. There were moments to stop (the rifle didn't work after multiple trials), to rethink, to choose differently… but he didn’t.
It’s beyond cruel. Insanity!
Terrible. Terrible people.
