Following circulation of a petition calling for the UK government to commemorate the #1984SikhGenocide during its 40th anniversary this year, @ClaudiaWebbe is backing "a public judge-led inquiry" on UK involvement in the killings. This was previously a @UKLabour promise to Sikhs.

In the first 24 hours of the e-petition going live we have had over 1,000 signatures covering over 230 MPs.  Thank you to all those who have signed. This is a fantastic effort.

The first target is to reach 10,000 signatures in the next two or three weeks that will force the UK Government to respond.  

However, our overall target is to get over 100,000 signatures over the next 6 months so we can push for a debate on the 1984 Sikh Genocide in the House of Commons.

This is achievable if we make a collective effort and reach out as far as possible.  Often it appears only one person is signing the petition. Please make sure all members of the family sign the petition irrespective of age.  Please share the link above as widely as possible.
