At least a dozen times he’s assured us a roofer or a painter or an electrician would be on the job the next morning; the next day would come and … crickets.
Weeks later Orlando told us he’d been hospitalized again and couldn’t make it to our job — only to have a worker confess that Orlando hadn’t been hospitalized at all and was off on another project.
Worst of all have been the lies and dishonesty. Orlando was hospitalized briefly mid-summer; we wished him well and said we certainly understood the need for certain delays and re-dos.
Every other day for weeks, Orlando has texted that he’ll be at our house “first thing in the morning” in order “to make things right” only to fail to show or even offer an explanation.
Bottom line: Orlando and his team have left us with subpar work, an incomplete project and a ruined front patio — not to mention more than $3,000 worth of owed services.
The interior paint job looks like it was done by a distracted teenager. The wrong flooring was purchased; the correct flooring has yet to be installed.
It is now October. The electric is incomplete: boxes remain uncovered, wall covers are crooked and lighting fixtures unattached. The ceiling was closed without insulation. The exterior stucco work is sloppy. The roof was done so poorly we had to hire another roofer to redo it.
Brief back story: We had plans drawn up in Feb for what was described to us as “a small job.” We applied for a building permit in March and had it in hand by May 1. We were told the project would be complete by the end of the month.
I know that stories of home-construction project delays are a dime a dozen. But I never expected to fall victim the sort of dishonesty/fraud perpetrated by one Orlando Delgado, 3425 E. Benson Highway in Tucson. Nobody should be subjected to what we’ve gone through with this man.
Blake Masters says Republicans should demand 'better than third-world elections.' Here in the real world, they should demand better candidates. https://t.co/QilJoHINsa via @azcentral
This -- another tactic to deny the election results. But if the Cochise votes are nullified, it boosts the win margins for Dems up and down the ballot.
