We’ve launched SafeConnect with @PoliceScotland – a new initiative to help safeguard people with dementia at risk of going missing.
The SafeConnect fob is a small yellow device that can be carried or attached to clothing. It securely stores emergency contact details and can be scanned with a smartphone using NFC, helping to quickly reunite someone with their loved ones or carers.
Receiving a dementia diagnosis is life-changing. Even if someone sensed something wasn’t quite right, hearing the words out loud can change everything. In moments like this, friendship becomes more important than ever.
This Dementia Awareness Week, we are celebrating the power of friendships and how they can be a powerful force in the life of a person with dementia - and how staying connected can bring comfort, joy and a sense of belonging to people living with dementia.💜👇
It’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek! 💜
This year is all about community - coming together for mental health. 🤝
Get involved by sharing your positive community stories #ThisIsMyCommunity

#Delirium is very common in people who are the end of life.
Yet it is still underdiagnosed, and unfortunately this often means unnecessary distress for patients and their families.
