The GFA laws must change. Why should owning or being affiliated with a football club be a requirement to contest the GFA presidency? These are the tough questions our sports journalists should be probing.
@tv3_ghana Such usless politicians as leaders . How can you conclude this that if measures is in place there will still be flood? It’s been raining in Edmonton for days and the highest in a mnt is 262 which is x2 what Accra recieved and yet there was no flooding . A bnch of usless dimwits.
@blak_mop@ChristDeKing When I migrated from Ghana to Canada, I wasn't very disciplined with traffic rules because I was used to getting away with it. Once I started paying hefty tickets, nobody had to tell me to change my behaviour. Enforcement changed it.
Enforce the law, and discipline will follow.
@JDMahama@cdrafrica Leaders shouldn’t beg citizens to change attitudes. Enforce the laws and behaviour will change.
In Canada tickets and enforcement changed me, not speeches. People are paid to ensure people are not built in the waterways. Y are they not being held rsponsible for negligence of work
Those affected by the floods should come together and sue the government and its agencies for negligence. There has to be accountability. This cycle can't keep repeating while lives and property are put at risk year after year.
“We unite today to express solidarity with everyone affected by the persistent flooding in and around our country, acknowledging that its impact is widespread and multifaceted. Directly or indirectly, the effects are felt by all, underscoring our shared vulnerability. If your home remains dry, the flooded streets remind us of our interconnectedness. Please stay safe.”
We understand the concerns from those who didn't receive our weather updates before the rains, and we truly appreciate the feedback.
For clarity, the rainfall was highlighted in our weekly forecast issued on Monday, 22nd June, 2026, reiterated in our subsequent updates, and again in this morning's weather bulletin. We know, however, that not everyone sees every post, and we understand how frustrating that can be.
Our thoughts and well wishes are with everyone who has been severely impacted by the floods. We hope those affected remain safe, and we wish a speedy recovery and restoration for all the communities experiencing the effects of the heavy rains.
To make sure you don't miss important weather alerts in the future, please turn on post notifications for our page. That way, you'll receive our forecasts and updates as soon as they're published.
We'll continue working hard to keep you informed and prepared. Stay safe.
Yeah, the “tech politician” couldn’t install cell broadcast systems on all networks or connect GMet, NADMO, the NCA, telecom companies, and local assemblies into one system that could send emergency alerts to people hours before flooding hits their areas. But today, he is posting like he cares about the people.
All these politicians pretend to care only when they need the people.
