The Highway Code clearly states the rules parking so close to junctions. Disgusting language towards others. It’s an accident waiting to happen!

Always ticketing residents though! And standing in full view of people at school times so they don’t pull up, or, as witnessed by a resident last week, just standing next to the cars that are illegally parked and allowing the people to sit there in them?!

@leannegracie It needs to be stopped before an accident happens. Residents get tickets when they’ve nowhere else to park yet parents can park illegally and enforcement don’t stop them while they’re in the cars. All the time they’re blocking access. It’s ludicrous!

School traffic horrendous yet parking enforcement come when it’s just gone & ticket residents car, which only parked temporarily as the school parents were blocking OUR permit spaces. Absolutely unbelievable & so unfair @CllrSteveHunt @DanJarvisMBE @BarnsleyCouncil @leannegracie

School traffic parked illegally around the school entrance and near the junctions as normal at school times yet none got a ticket 🤔
But residents are ticketed because they can’t get parked due to parents illegal parking and taking out spaces. Very cruel and out of order

It’s a disgrace especially outside school & I’m not in the wrongthey are! They park/abandon cars all over, clearly blocking access & parked illegally!

@CllrSteveHunt please can we get parking enforcement back at Darton primary? Can @BarnsleyCouncil take ownership of the issues. Traffic parked on the main road is dangerous & the TRO is being ignored at school times. My access was blocked again today by illegally parked cars

@leannegracie @CllrSteveHunt @BarnsleyCouncil There’s been 3 or 4 small bumps/wing mirrors broken on Darton Lane since the TRO was introduced. The traffic parked right up to the junction on Darton Lane, makes pulling out of the school entrance extremely dangerous, it blocks any visibility to pull out

@leannegracie A school parent Friday allowing her kids to let party poppers off while she had a fag & threw the tab on the floor, she said she’d clean it all up but didn’t. I have the registration number of the car! Absolutely disgusting. Wonder how she’d feel if I did it outside her house?!

We have to contend with illegal parking & blocked access to our properties, & now we have to deal with rubbish left by parents of Darton Primary. Party poppers left all over. @BarnsleyCouncil I have the vehicle details and registration number of the person who left the mess!
