Congratulations to Grady Welke & Brody Jakubowski for earning championship finishes at the district tournament to punch their ticket to state. Grady also set the school record for wins in a season. Good luck in Omaha boys!
As a competitive person, you are always going to want to do your best and perform well. The best teams I’ve ever been a part of, though, had individuals that set aside their quest for personal glory for the sake of winning. Most of those teams became champions in some capacity.
Troopers stopped 118 drivers for 100 MPH or higher in July, the highest monthly total in three years.
So far in 2023, NSP is averaging 85 such citations per month, and over 400 citations for speeds of 90-99 MPH.
Watch your speed and help keep Nebraska roads safe.

Amazing chain by Michael McGee. Sits out off the whistle, clears hips, traps opp's wrist & rolls inward, escapes & immediately attacks & finishes a low single. Good reminder that Peterson variations from bottom can be effective at the higher levels & at lighter weights even if only to escape.

Jason Nolf hits a standing Peterson for 6 points @ 2016 NCAA's. Rear bodylock position, controls opp's right wrist, steps left leg around & behind opp's right leg to block it + sinks hips to mat. Once on the ground he controls & elevates opp's right wrist and leg to prevent opp from bellying out in either direction.

Just remember, if you wrestle, you never really lose. Even if you didn't reach your goals, this sport makes you a winner in life! So many people couldn't last five minutes in a wrestling room!
Thank you to the local street departments and @NebraskaDOT for keeping the roads clear throughout Troop B. These pictures are from O’Neill. Stay safe out there!
