🚨NEW: A manager of a garage in Haytor said he had alerted the police after his colleague noticed something "out of the ordinary" at around 9am on Wednesday - a dark VW Golf Mk4 reportedly parked in a "strange place"
He said: "The Golf was at the top of lane near Ann's house. If it were a local they would have parked in the car park or one of the lay-bys.
He was doing up his walking boots. He was in his late 20s, maybe early 30s. He was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. I remember thinking 'Why is he parked there?' He was halfway out the lay-by.
It didn't look like he fitted in. You don't see many late 20s, early 30s men around here. He was heading up in that direction [of Ann's house]."

Seriously though.. People should stop comparing Meghan to Catherine. They're not in the same lane. One represents herself. The other represents the Crown 👑.
I’ve just watched the interview with Ann Widdecombe by Colm Flynn and it hit me completely differently now.
She spoke so simply and honestly about her own mortality no fear, just quiet acceptance. She said she’d be happy to die and go to heaven to be with her mum, her dad, her brother… and even her past cats. It was so pure and heartfelt.
Hearing her say those words, knowing how tragically she was taken from us, is incredibly moving and deeply poignant. She was such a simple, genuine woman at heart.
If you haven’t watched this interview yet, please do. It’s one of the most relatable and emotional things I’ve seen. You’ll be in tears.
Rest in peace, Ann. ❤️🙏🇬🇧
I’ve decided that I need to be more ‘WIDDY’ from now on. Not afraid to stick to my principles, not afraid to speak out regardless of what people will think of me. Thanks Anne for being a beacon of light on the world. 🩵
She should be sat in her garden this evening, reflecting on her colourful life, proud of herself for not compromising on what she believed in for 78 years, even through this nonsensical period in which we live.
I feel sure this wasn't some burglary gone wrong, I feel sure its more sinister and an indicator of how dangerous having an opinion has become in Britain in 2026.

I’d rather be like Mick Jagger.
He said it straight: “My job in the live music world is for those people that come to have the best time… And you don’t want to lecture them.”
Meanwhile the New York Times praised Bruce Springsteen for seeing his job as having a “meaningful back and forth” with fans on politics.
I think people pay to switch off and enjoy themselves not sit through another political sermon.
Just play the songs. Let the crowd have a good night. That’s the job.
What does everyone else think?
