Trump has hinted at going back to war with Iran after the midterms.
“The numbers just don’t add up. They could not fight,” is @JonElmer's assessment.
After 40 days in active war with Iran the US has already depleted an estimated half of its key munitions.

@EyeonPalestine This systematic demolition is institutionalized dispossession. Shielded by administrative pretexts, state-sanctioned displacement deliberately erases Palestinian presence, shatters communities, and blatantly violates international law.
@OnlinePalEng Grassroots actions like the Amsterdam protest demonstrate the power of public activism. By bringing creative demonstrations to visible consumer spaces, activists keep global human rights issues in the spotlight and leverage corporate accountability to show solidarity.
Activists staged a performance action outside a Starbucks in Amsterdam, part of a global boycott campaign against the coffee chain over its ties to Israel
The Gaza Health Ministry warned of a life-threatening crisis for breast cancer patients due to collapsing services, medicine shortages, and halted treatments, urging international organizations to urgently allow in medical supplies and facilitate patient travel abroad.
🚨#Urgent | Four injured people, including two children and a woman, have arrived at Nasser Medical Complex following an Israeli occupation strike targeting civilians in Mawasi Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. One of the injuries was reported to be critical.
🚨Civil Defense:
Israeli forces targeted homes belonging to the Ma’ruf and Shurab families in the Al-Sikka area of Khan Younis. Rescue teams are unable to reach the targeted location due to its proximity to the Yellow Line.
@dn_osama_rabee This is unconscionable. Families are being bombed while rescuers are prevented from even reaching the wounded and trapped. A civilian rescue zone should never become a death trap. Accountability is urgently needed.
Those are the soldiers that are supposed to protect the Palestinians residents from the violent settlers.
When they “fail”, it’s because that’s their intention.
@BowesChay Absolutely enraging. A minister riding a demolition machine to destroy a Palestinian home is a grotesque display of power and impunity. Accountability is long overdue.
Britain may expel Israeli diplomats over Jerusalem consulate closure
——
Britain is expected to expel Israeli diplomats if Israel follows through with its order for the UK to shut its consulate in East Jerusalem this week, amid a dispute over sanctions against Jewish settlements, four sources told Reuters.
Israel ordered Britain on 8 September to close the East Jerusalem consulate within 30 days and withdraw its diplomats from the city. The move came after Britain announced plans to ban trade in goods produced in Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The deadline for Britain to close the consulate expires on Thursday, affecting around 30 British diplomats stationed there, as well as their family members, the sources said.
Should the consulate be shut, Britain is expected to retaliate by expelling a comparable number of Israeli diplomats from Israel's embassy in the UK, according to the sources.
No. It's the Zionist Jews who immigrated to Palestine under the Ottomans and, particularly, the British Mandate who were the settler colonialists. They made no secret of their intention to turn Palestine into a Jewish state. They even called it "colonisation" themselves. In 1919, the American-led King-Crane commission reported that Zionists in Palestine looked forward to "the near-total dispossession" of the Arab population.
So it's not about the Holocaust refugees at all. It's about a settler colonialist movement that long pre-dated the Holocaust but was given impetus and spurious justification by it.
That said, Europe and the USA should not have used Palestine as a dumping ground for the Jews they didn't want.
@Frances_Coppola@rosenthal_jon Zionism as a political movement predates the Holocaust. The historical record shows that Zionist leaders openly pursued the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine during the Ottoman and British Mandate periods.
