Deborah Feifer, our amazing @EmoryMedicine student, presented our work at #hapc26 on the content of #supponc visits. While the work varies a bit, many complex factors contribute to disparities in #pedpc & #EOL care.
Can't wait to see her growth into residency!

Another national presentation by @ATLPedsHemOnc Supportive Care psychologist, Dr. Linda Radbill! So important for clinicians experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and moral injury in #hpm. And the systems that employ us all!

Agree! PDQ was instrumental to my learning.
Then, I was asked to join the Supportive/ Palliative Care board - an amazing group of interdisciplinary professionals who essentially donate their time to review articles, find high quality evidence and write/update summaries. RIP. ๐ค
Deeply saddened that the entire team @NCICancerCtrl@theNCI PDQ Cancer Information has been eliminated.
Our evidence-based summaries were updated throughout the year with the latest evidence and supported informed decision making between clinicians & patients across the US. ๐บ๐ธ
So humbled, honored & grateful to the Luther and Susie Harrison Foundation for their support of this clinical, research & education work. Supportive Care is critical to the care of children with cancer, other serious illnesses, and their families. โค๏ธ

Congratulations to Dr. Katharine Brock (@KBrockMD) for being named the recipient of the R. Harold Harrison Chair for Pediatric Supportive Care within the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. This role will allow her to continue clinical excellence within supportive care.
@Curseen@palliator Agree!! I might not be a #hapc physician if it wasn't for VJ's words of encouragement during my pediatric oncology fellowship!
Forever grateful. โค๏ธ
Proud to highlight the work of our Emory & @ATLPedsHemOnc team including lead qualitative researcher, Shaheen Rana. Much thanks also to Ebonee Harris, Anna Lange and Nick Degroote for their tireless work! @pedpc@supponc@hapc
