💦 Mayor Mamdani kicked off NYC’s outdoor pool season today by jumping into the Thomas Jefferson Pool in East Harlem!
This year marks the 90th anniversary of New York City’s iconic WPA-era outdoor pools. Summer is officially here! ☀️🏊♂️🌊
People complaining about Iran’s disallowed goal. As much as we all love a crazy ending, the offside call was correct. The goalkeeper came out past the last defender. The offside rule is always on the last two defenders, goalkeeper included so where they drew the line was correct. We always normally see the offside line being drawn on the last defender because the goalkeeper is all the way back, but the goalkeeper counts as one defender too. In this instance the goalkeeper came all the way out past the last defender, so the line is now drawn with him. Always the last two defenders in the team. Remember that. 👍🏻
Its a very rare occurrence but unfortunately, it was an offside for Iran 🤷♂️🇮🇷

Just look at the passing and sequence of play for the USMNT in the buildup to Gio Reyna's goal to make it 4-1 against Paraguay in their World Cup opening match.
POCHETTINO BALL 🇺🇸🔥👏
83 - Chris Richards completed all 83 passes he attempted for the #USMNT against Paraguay, the most passes with a 100 percent accuracy rate by any player in a FIFA World Cup match since 1966.
Perfection.

The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
