Guess who's back? Yep, the heat advisory that was affecting our western counties has pushed its way into the I35 corridor. The heat is by no means as bad compared to last week, but it was better when we didn't have to worry about it. https://t.co/1lwIFxf7uY

Does it feel a bit cooler outside, or am I just losing my mind? Nope, it's true, the cold front form the weekend left our morning temperatures a bit cooler. Plenty of sunshine today will push our highs into the triple digits, but not nearly as bad as last week.

More of the heat is continuing into this afternoon with the Excessive Heat Warning extended until the evening. It is getting hot inside too, so you can probably understand why most guys wear a jacket on air. (It's to hide the sweat stains!) https://t.co/1lwIFxf7uY

The latest drought monitor is out and the news is not great. All of Central Texas is now under some type of drought. Rain chances are coming back by Sunday, but model data isn't looking very promising. We'll all be like this squirrel if it comes. https://t.co/1lwIFxf7uY

Given how quickly these temperatures rise once the sun comes up, yeah it did escalate quickly. The excessive heat warning is still staying effect for this afternoon so be sure to stay cool out there! https://t.co/1lwIFxf7uY

Dry conditions, high temperatures and strong winds have reached the point to where we need to watch out for elevated wildfire danger. Be sure to observe burn bans and don't burn unless you check with your local officials first. https://t.co/1lwIFxf7uY

Another hot day is in the forecast for this afternoon as heat index values will reach into the 110's. It is enough that the National Weather Service has upgraded the heat advisory to an excessive heat warning for much of Central Texas. https://t.co/1lwIFxf7uY
