The children in Oak Class have had a great start to the school year. In DT, they have been busy researching, tasting, testing, designing and making sandwiches as a lovely 'welcome to school' snack for our new reception children.

The end of an era at Kirkby C of E! Mr T & Mrs O have taught alongside each other for the past few years now but after a quarter of a century itโs time for Mrs O to move on before she gets as old as Mr T. Many thanks for all the kind words, cards, gifts and hugs! ๐#kceDreamTeam
The final bird feed of the year! ๐ฆโโฌ At Kirkby C of E weโve always taken good care of the nature weโre blessed to have around our school site and community. This includes the smallest creatures who visit the Rowan tree outside Rowan class - magpies, robins and squirrels! ๐ฟ๏ธ
Congratulations to Rowan classโs GOLD ๐Attendance Award winners for their outstanding commitment to Year 4 this year! Keep it up as you enter UKS2 for the final stage of your journey through Kirkby C of E School. ๐ค๐ป

Oak Class, thank you for a wonderful year full of lovely memories.
I feel very lucky to have been your teacher over the last few years and I can't wait to see you continue to grow as you enter Year 4.

In Oak Class, we are learning all about our digestive system. We have used a model to help us learn how our food and waste move through our body. It was a great hands-on activity!

Pine Class have a fantastic seamstress in class. Inspired by our DT lessons, this young lady has used her sewing machine to create this bag. Itโs lined with a magnetic clasp. We are blown away! #kcedt@KirkbyCofE
Oak Class have worked very hard designing and making bags. We have used different sewing stitches to join the fabric together before attaching a fastening and a handle/strap. #KCEDT
