New research @BMJMentalHealth 🧠🌿
Cannabis use in older adults was not linked to faster cognitive decline or higher dementia risk in large UK & US cohorts.
Observational & genetic analyses found no evidence that cannabis contributes substantially to cognitive ageing or dementia.
As use rises in later life, ongoing research remains important, especially around dose & long-term exposure.

A diagnosis won’t fix everything. But it changes everything. It’s how people access support, plan ahead, & make time count.
It’s also the first step to being part of the research that could find a cure.
