There are still a few weeks left for the YIMBY Act to get through Congress during the lame-duck session, but we need your help.

We face a national housing shortage, made worse by local zoning restrictions that stifle new housing production.
Right now, Congress has the chance to require cities to start reporting on their local policies that impact housing production, but we need to act quickly. 1/3
The Bipartisan YIMBY Act won’t solve the housing shortage overnight, but it will be a step in the right direction and will help us start to hold our cities and towns accountable. It was supposed to be up for a vote last week, but partisan squabbling got in the way. 2/3
We are excited to announce that Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen will be speaking at our New Liberal Action Summit in June, on our panel about international issues in the 2024 election!

These little houses make a great sense in neighborhoods all across KC.
Their smaller size is perfect for people who want a single-family home, but not a massive house.
The design fits in well in a lot of places around town.
Can likely be built with affordability in mind.

Say what you will about Burgumentum not being real, but so far, the only yard sign for the 2024 presidential election I’ve seen was a Doug Burgum sign in Leawood.

I’d recommend going to see the WWI Monument & Museum, Negro Leagues Museum and American Jazz Museum. Directly north of Downtown, I’d visit the River Market, Riverfront Park, and walk around the Columbus Park neighborhood.
@mnolangray (1/2) For food, I’d go Slap’s or Joe’s for BBQ, and El Paso del Norte or Bonito Michoacán for tacos.
For coffee, Café Corazón is a cool Mexican/Argentine coffee shop. Boulevard Brewing and Rochester Brewing & Roasting are a couple blocks from their Crossroads location.
