Timing drill setup:
1 - Hitter in the box with a ball on the tee
2 - Net halfway between the hitter and the pitcher
3 - Pitch from full distance into the net
4 - Plant the front foot when the ball hits the net
5 - Swing and hit the ball off the tee
Step on time, then swing
11 year old hitter Sloan, 3 things worth copying:
β Launch: hands stay back, real separation
β Contact: weightless in back foot, strong front side
β Extension: full extension through the ball
None of it happens by accident. It's hard work and intentional reps over time.
Fun drill to practice catching pop ups behind the plate. Get comfortable going to the ground, tracking the ball, and making the catch.

Jump? That shows us what's working. Flat? That tells us what to change. Both are useful. Progress you can't track is guesswork.

New quarter, new radar numbers.
Here's why we re-test hitter's exit velo every quarter.
Exit velocity isn't the only thing that makes a good hitter. But it's measurable, and it tells us whether the work in lessons is actually showing up.
All 10 threw harder and more accurately. Biggest jump: 12 mph (33 to 45). Save this for your next practice and tag a coach or parent who needs it. Thanks Ohio Cobras 10u for a great clinic!
We spent almost none of a 2-hour throwing clinic on throwing harder. Team average overhand velocity went up 6 mph anyway. 10 players, 35.2 to 41.2 mph.
Weβve been working on consistency and hitting for more solid contact and power with Camila, focusing on her timing and sequencing.

Love seeing the cage work translate straight to the field!

Immediate results from one week of work!
We love getting feedback like this from our new families. Two group lessons, one massive boost in confidence, and her very first hit into the outfield grass!
Big things happen when you start with the right foundation.
We talk a lot about sequence and timing in the cages, but seeing it happen naturally in game is everything.
Cora launched her first over-the-fence home run, and the mechanics speak for themselves.
Huge milestone and the first of many π

Nevaehβs been putting in consistent work these last few months to get ready for summer.
Love to see it paying off π£π£π£
β Cleaning up mechanics
β Trusting her approach
β Learning to slow the game down
Proud of the work sheβs put inβand even more excited for whatβs ahead.
