In the 2022-23 school year alone, Olathe Public Schools transferred over $33 million from the general fund to cover special education expenses.

One of our district's legislative priorities is to provide the resources necessary to provide all students the opportunity to succeed. We support increasing special education funding at both the state and federal level and further support modifications to the formula to provide for a more equitable distribution of funds to support students with special needs.
