Chance for afternoon showers drops from 30% to 20%. Our sky remains mostly gray and mild, middle 70s. Clearing tonight leads to patchy fog Wednesday morning. The 80's are back the next two days then impactful storms Friday night through Saturday morning.

Mainly gray, comfy this evening, only a 20% chance for showers. Chance for wet weather ramps up tonight as showers and thunderstorms over northern Missouri slide south. First Warn Monday from 3am to 12pm with scattered lighter showers the rest of the day.

Good Afternoon! Temperatures stay below average levels today, middle 80s. Enjoy, these will be the mildest moving forward. We are still pretty humid and cannot rule our a stray storm, 30%. Anything that pops should not become severe.

Storms entering our southern most communities where temperatures hover near 90°. The heat continues to feed the strongest storms that will produce up to 50 mph wind gusts, locally heavy rain and lightning. Strongest storms exit south by 2pm.

Strong storms capable of producing wind gusts to 50 mph, dime-size hail and brief heavy rain are moving north to south across Kansas City at 35 mph. I'm not anticipating severe threats from this storm. Any flooding will be minimal.

Building warmth and humidity slowly overtake our comfy August start, middle 80s today under a mostly sunny sky. Average heat and humidity arrive Wednesday, highs in the upper 80s, feels like middle 90s. Storm chance at 20% Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

You probably noticed conditions feel even hotter than previous days as we head into the final hours of dangerous heat. We will endure the hottest temperature, 95°, this final day of our prolonged heat wave with feels like temperatures of 110°.

First Warn for strong to severe storms Wednesday and Thursday and 15% then 5% chance for flooding. This July is our 9th wettest. An inch or two of rain could catapult it to our 2nd wettest. August starts with highs in the middle to upper 70s!

Our final heat wave for July is underway now and continues through Tuesday. You can expect highs in the lower to middle 90s following mornings with lows only cooling into the middle to upper 70s. Feels like temperatures top 100° from noon to 8pm each day.

Hazardous heat is back! Today, Monday and Tuesday feature highs in the middle 90s and feels like temperatures from 105° to 110°. Please try to limit outdoor activity from 1pm to 7pm. If not an option, please take frequent breaks every hour.

Flash Flooding no longer a concern. However, up to 11 inches of rain will take several more hours to even a couple of days to work through streams and rivers. Cloud cover gives way to sunshine late today with mild highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

94° this afternoon makes this our hottest day of 2025. That heat and humidity turns into a 40% chance for strong storms this evening, 6pm -9pm. Another, healthier round, is likely from 2am - 9am with sporadic severe gusts and heavy rain.
