@gazza7820@JonnyHorses@WillHillRacing@WilliamHill@RacingPost Agree, going in shop is better than online now. But by god he wouldn’t reach the counter before a request for ID & PTL all bets order comes from the race room.
It’s fact WH won’t lay decent bets once they know you have connection to the horse/yard.
@laura_pollock_ A vacuum that has parallels to 1930s Germany. Working class having patriotism & promise of change thrown in their faces through propaganda in tabloids & social media. Blame directed at ethnic minorities as it’s better for ruling class to have the peasants fight amongst their own.
@BookieTimB@geoffbanksbet 888 acquired WH because Caesers in US had no interest in the UK & Online business. Only wanted WH US operations. On verge of shutting UK down then manage to sell off to 888 who paid the £2b. Now they’ve too much debt & only going for £240m, pathetic mismanagement. Feel for staff.
@geoffbanksbet WH Group went south after Mr Green. Sold off to Caesers for £4b to access US portion with no interest in high street/UK online. Eventually sold off to 888Sport for £2b after facing shutdown of UK business. 888 then rebrand to Evoke, all while that wheelbarrow of debt mounts up.
@MikeParcej Big fan of the Raceday Ready app that gives access to various courses tickets in one central app. A big improvement for some courses that send out individual tickets by email.
@MikeParcej Some prefer having numbers in advance to predict staff & facility requirements. Agree should be option of pay at gate with cash & card. Cash is problematic for businesses as they need to have it counted & banked, usually at cost. Likely card fee rates depend on volume of sales.
@LauraKingsays@The_Derbywalk I don’t think if in a working capacity it’s too big a deal to expect people using staff privileges to not be consuming alcohol. Imagine staff pissed infront of public? Also on bets, maybe poorly worded to say that you should not betting at pitches/tote given working capacity?
@RPMComo Thank fuck you have nothing to do with our governing body now. Absolute moon howler.
Nobody was asking for this shit after 2016 at Hampden or even this season after Ibrox riot. Just let the polis do their job if a crime has been committed. Or is that too sensible an approach?
@sam_angelina22 It’s hard, there’s so many big stories to us all because there’s so many stars in UK racing. Tiger Roll is a big one. Trevor Hemmings story. O’Brien & Mullins biopics. I do think one day there will be a Dettori biopic, there’s enough material there to show highs & lows in racing
