We are saddened to hear about the death of Dolly Parton, and reflect with gratitude on her advocacy and support for children's literacy.

For two and a half years, all 10 of our Library locations helped kids enroll in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which put free books in children's hands.

This week, the @KCMOFireDept donated the oldest fire logs in Kansas City to Missouri Valley Special Collections for preservation. 🚒 We are honored to archive these records, dating back to the 1800s, so that their history will become accessible to the public.
