JICA supports TANROADS in expanding the roads between Arusha and Moshi and constructing a new Kikafu bridge where many traffic accidents occurs. 10 JICA youth volunteers were also sacrificed in 1985. New bridge will drastically enhance safety. It will be completed in 2027.

Since about 50 years JICA has supported irrigation development, rice planting and farmers training in the lower Moshi. Mr. Shauritanga, Principal of Kilimanjaro Agricultural Training Center, explained their activities including extending training to farmers in other regions.

In Moshi we bought coffee for my wife at Union Coffee and Kahawa House. Japan is the biggest coffee importer from Tanzania and “Kilimanjaro” is special brand for us. I enjoyed beautiful city with friendly people. Asante kwa kunikaribisha.

@HamisiKipanga @japan @Lufingo16 @ZKiula JICA has collaborated with NIRC for irrigation & extended technical assistances to other regions. But what Japan can do is very limited. In this regard we welcome government of Tanzania gives higher priority to agriculture & expect more space for cooperation.
