UWA is doing its best to rescue, rehabilitate, and raise orphaned wildlife, giving vulnerable animals a second chance at life in their natural habitats.
Through dedicated care, veterinary support @UWEC_EntebbeZoo and conservation efforts, these animals are nurtured until they can safely return to the wild where they belong.
Protecting wildlife today ensures a thriving ecosystem for future generations.

POATE 2026 done. Three days at Speke Resort Munyonyo. Booth C13.
We sat down with hosted buyers, tour operators, travel agents, and accommodation providers from across the region. The goal was simple. Put Likana Safaris in front of the people who move travelers. That happened.
The conversations went beyond packages and pricing. People wanted to understand the destinations. The conservation model. The community relationships. What makes a Likana experience something a traveler remembers, not just books.
Bwindi. Kibale. Queen Elizabeth. Murchison Falls. We do not just sell these places. We work in them. Build around them. Return to them constantly.
Walking away with new partnerships in the pipeline, accommodation providers we can work with directly, and a clearer picture of what the international market wants from Uganda right now.
Tourism is still a people business. Nothing replaces showing up.
Back to work.

I was glad to launch the 10th Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo at Munyonyo today. Uganda remains one of the most unique tourism destinations because of our favourable climate, rich culture, peace and natural beauty.
Regarding Ebola, there is no cause for alarm. We are applying targeted measures and continuing to work scientifically to keep people safe while keeping our economy open.
As our economy grows towards upper-middle-income status, we shall also improve the tourism experience, including friendlier visa arrangements to attract more visitors. I therefore welcome the world to come and explore Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.
POATE 2026 is live. Hosted buyer meetings have begun.
We are at Booth C13, Speke Resort Munyonyo. Talking safaris, partnerships, and sustainable tourism that puts conservation and communities at the center.
Come through.
