I’m gonna stop looking at “making it” as an exclusive event in my life. Because it’s not.
I’ve “made it” many times, and will many more.
There is more to strive for and celebrate in life than a singular moment.
Black History, Lives, and Art matter all year long.
As we continue through #BlackHistoryMonth, the Museum would like to highlight this installation titled "A Wyze World" by local artist Wyze. See her work in our Big Idea Gallery with the current theme of HOME.

Happy belated bday to my effortlessly cool, unapologetically confident, brilliantly creative Bri Bri (@BrianaDHolmes) !! You inspire me *so* much. Thank you for being you and always letting me be me. We're locked in 4 eva eva 🤞🏾🫡💕
So weird how our plants can be indicators of wellness. The ebbs and flows of the health of my plant over the past year seem to really be reflective of how I'm feeling.
Do y'all be having recurring dreams in places that don't exist in real life? Like how does our brain create a memory out of a dream and keep referencing it???
I was thinking earlier that day about how restrictive I/we live life because our desires might not be "normal" or aligned with society's expectations. The world is so big and has so much to offer if we allow ourselves to break outside of what we're used to.
When I finally made it to the gallery, I had a pretty long convo with one of the gallerists. He was a middle-aged black man from London and told me the thing he misses most is how close/accessible different countries are.
He said he would hit up his girl when he got off work like "let's go to Greece this weekend" or "we're going to Paris for dinner" just because it's a cheap flight or train ride away. I want to open my world up like that.
Yesterday while I was walking around SoHo omw to a gallery, I complimented a stranger and ended up helping her record a tik tok. We ended up talking for 45 min and low key became friends lol
