For #UKDisabilityHistoryMonth, we reflect on the journey of former @KEHSBham & @KEVIHandsworth student Hilary Pole. Despite losing almost all movement, she adapted technology to write poetry and become an editor. KEHS now awards the Hilary Pole Prize, celebrating perseverance.

This Armistice Day we're honouring those who served. This photo from the archive shows soldiers lining up for inspection at @KESBham in 1914 before being deployed to the battlefields of World War One.
