The recent case involving Raheem Bailey, who was bullied in school because he is Black is saddening. I am yet to have seen an effective anti bullying strategy in schools. We all need to do better! My new blog shares some strategies rooted in research.

A thread on promoting student democracy and voice.
I lead the student voice programme at my school. It's basically the equivalent of the student council, but I hate that name so I changed it.
One comment in particular led to me thinking about the nature of power in schools, and how it's really sad when this power is wielded as a weapon of terror and autocratic control. That we need not see warmth and strictness as binary but rather on a scale or continuum.
