The degree of idiocy behind this question gets deeper each time you contextualize "marital rights" in ascending order.
You want her to clean the house while she's lying in coma or you're truly getting an erection?
Are you insane?
1/6. THE HYPOCRISY OF MUSICIANS
A popular musician in southwestern Nigeria once sang the following lyrics:
"ọmọ Naija, ẹ ma ṣerekere; erekere ni doyun koyun, oyun koyun ni dọmọkọmọ, ọmọkọmọ ni nile lara"
Meaning:
"Nigerians, do not fornicate. Fornication begets
Bismillāhir Rahmānir Rahīm
As the saying goes… وان عدتم عدنا. If you won’t desist from your tadlis, we also won’t stop calling out your misguidance Alfa Oni.
Alfa Oni is taking a dishonest & disingenuous approach to الجمع والتوفيق—reconciling evidence—here by parroting a modern revisionist argument to appeal to neoliberal standards. He also categorically made a false attribution to classical scholars about discussing the apostasy laws in the scopes of active rebellion & war times. I challenge him to bring anybody from the salaf with this understanding, heck even the first one thousand years of Islamic scholarship (among major scholars).
On the other hand, here’s some real reference for you. Ibn Al-‘Arabi Al-Māliki mentioned in his tafseer of Al-Māidah Q5:33, in Ahkām Al-Qur’ān, under ahkām pertaining hirābah (which includes waging war/rebellion against the state):
وكذلك المرتد يقتل بالردة دون المحاربة، وفي الآية النفي لمن لم يتب قبل القدرة، والمرتد لا ينفى، وفيها قطع اليد والرجل، والمرتد لا تقطع له يد ولا رجل؛ فثبت أنها لا يراد بها المشركون ولا المرتدون
Meaning: “…Likewise, the apostate is executed for apostasy ITSELF, not for rebellion (muhārabah). And the verse prescribes exile for one (a rebel) who does not repent before being apprehended, whereas the apostate is not exiled (when apprehended, with or without repentance). It also prescribes the amputation of the hand and the foot, whereas the apostate has neither his hand nor his foot amputated. Thus, it is established that the verse is not intended to refer either to the polytheists OR TO THE APOSTATES.”
So, what’s the basis of his restriction then?
Again, I’m not saying he’s wrong just because of what some scholars say or didn’t say, but because the evidence itself just doesn’t support him (and that’s why he had to create a false nuanced narrative).
First of all, in fiqh, when it comes to the weight of evidence, the Qur’an and AUTHENTIC hadith are on the EXACT same level in terms of hujūjiyyah (how they bind). So, the “cross-check against the Qur’an first” principle is an ignorant one with no precedence from ahlul ‘ilm. Once a hadith is deemed authentic, it’s binding. And this isn’t a shadh hadith. It was narrated from multiple companions.
The great Hanbali jurist, Ibn Qudāmah said in his magnum opus, Al-Mughni, under the section of apostates (kitāb al-murtadd):
وأجمع أهل العلم على وجوب قتل المرتد، وروي ذلك عن أبي بكر وعمر وعثمان وعلي ومعاذ وأبي موسى وابن عباس وخالد وغيرهم، ولم ينكر ذلك، فكان إجماعًا
Meaning: “The people of knowledge have unanimously agreed that the apostate must be executed. This has been reported from Abū Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthmān, ‘Alī, Mu’ādh, Abū Mūsā, Ibn ‘Abbās, Khālid, and others. No objection to this was reported, and thus it constituted a consensus”
Prior to this, the Imām already defined the murtadd: الراجع عن دين الإسلام إلى الكفر, meaning someone who RETURNS (keyword) to kufr from Islam.
We see here that there’s no “rebellion” or “wartime treason” clause here and it’s also about those who were previously kuffār, became Muslim & then return. The latter is especially important because all the verses Alfa Oni referenced as evidence on his side refer primarily to asli kuffaar (born kuffār who never embraced Islam) except Q4:137. Of course, for those, under sharī’ah rule, they must be left alone, as long as they aren’t fighting or seeking to drive the community out à la Al-Mumtahanah Q60:8.
As for Q4:137, none of the (classical & major) mufassiroon ever interpreted it as a legal allowance of apostasy and so shouldn’t you. They cited multiple exegesis, but the crux of it is that it pertains to the afterlife judgement of Allah & the spiritual consequences of repeated disbelief, not a legal defense. In fact, it’s evidence against you because in his tafsīr of the aayah, Ibn Kathīr cited an athar from ‘Ali who is reported to have said an apostate is asked to repent three times (before execution), then ‘Ali recited Q4:137. i put together a few important lessons from the chapter on janābah that many muslims may not know:
1. ghusl becomes obligatory through either of two things:
• ejaculation
• penetration, even if ejaculation does not occur
once penetration takes place, ghusl is required from both spouses.
2. mere physical contact between the private parts does not automatically require ghusl.
the obligation begins when penetration occurs, not simply through touching or closeness.
3. if a person has a wet dream but sees no discharge upon waking, ghusl is not required.
the ruling is connected to actually seeing the fluid, not merely remembering a dream.
4. likewise, if a person finds semen but does not remember a dream, ghusl is required.
what matters is the presence of the discharge.
5. a woman can also experience a wet dream and is required to perform ghusl if she sees the fluid.
the women of the ansār were praised because shyness did not prevent them from asking questions about their religion.
6. a woman does not have to loosen her braids for ghusl from janābah, provided water reaches the scalp and the roots of the hair.
the point is complete washing, not unnecessary hardship.
7. semen is considered pure according to the stronger scholarly view.
if it is wet, it may be wiped/washed away. if it is dry, it may be scraped or rubbed off. washing it is also perfectly fine.
8. not every stain requires washing the entire garment.
Aa'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, corrected a man who immersed his clothes in water without even seeing anything on them. excessiveness in purification can open the door to doubtful whispers.
9. Islam does not encourage wastefulness in ghusl.
the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him, performed ghusl with a relatively small quantity of water. cleanliness does not require emptying buckets upon buckets over oneself.
10. if water is unavailable, a person in janābah must not abandon the prayer.
he performs tayammum and prays. tayammum is a valid substitute for ghusl until water becomes available or he is able to use it.
11. one tayammum is sufficient for both major and minor ritual impurity.
a person does not need one tayammum for janābah and another for wuḍūʾ.
12. tayammum does not have to be repeated for every prayer.
a person may pray obligatory and voluntary prayers with it until something invalidates the purification or water becomes available.
13. the whole earth has been made a place of prayer and a means of purification for this ummah.
a Muslim should not deliberately miss the prayer merely because there is no mosque nearby.
14. the Prophet would first ask a person for an explanation before reprimanding him.
when he saw a man standing apart from the prayer, he did not immediately condemn him. he first asked what prevented him from joining them.
a lesson in both fiqh and character: seek clarification before blame.
15. intimate questions are not shameful when they are asked for the purpose of learning the religion.
true modesty does not mean remaining ignorant about purification, menstruation, janābah or marital rulings.
16. the Mothers of the Believers, may Allāh be pleased with them, performed a tremendous service for this Ummah.
they preserved details of the Prophet’s private worship and household life that men outside his home could not have known.
17. the general spirit of this chapter is ease without carelessness:
wash properly, but do not waste water.
remove what needs removing.
ask when you do not know, and;
never allow embarrassment to keep you ignorant of your religion.
and Allāh knows best.

It's Allah who gives, and it's Allah who takes.
As long as they're married and in a partnership, they should strive to work through it together. But before that stage? It's perfectly fine to hold that opinion.
A former bastard lecturer of mine from Unilag who sexually harassed me in 100level, stole a kiss from me in his office, I was disgusted and walked out. He Waited till I was in 400 level to give me an F. I went to meet him to know how that happened because I was so sure I did better after getting an A in my project defense and he said he would change the result to a D only if he gave me his D.
He had his story published on BBC because they set him up with a woman who had a spy camera. When She went to his office, he made a very cold statement. He said “I pity fine girls like you because you are all vulnerable”.
He was jailed for a while. Dr Igbeneghu may you rot in hell.
These are the bodies of 23 lifeless Northerners recently massacred by bandits. Reported that about 50 women & children were also injured and hospitalized. Not even a statement from Minister of Defence whose village is nearby. It’s not even tending on Northern media.
Sometimes when I see petty traders, I do mental calculation of their entire goods and pity them.
A roadside corn seller that faces heat and smoke all day to sell only 100 pieces of corn at N300 each = N30,000. Turnover. Not profit.
I feel some pity.
Then I remember my own company's annual turnover is another person's gift.
I hold at least 100 meetings in a year, travel every other week, coordinate a team of 30, run calculations, promote the business every day online, strategize, sometimes sleepless nights, hire tax consultants, among others.
All the above stress to generate the revenue.
And someone else will casually give someone a gift that is worth that annual revenue.
I just think to myself, "Pity the woman, but someone else is pitying you too for doing all that just to generate an amount the person can dash someone in a day".
Life na level by level.
I just heard a story and my body is shaking…
A 13-year old boy in Maiduguri was selling sugarcane in a wheelbarrow for his father.
Inside the scorching sun, he decided to push his wheelbarrow to a nearby tree for shade & for him to rest for a while.
As he pushed his wheelbarrow tired, he mistakenly brushed the front of a parked car & the headlamp fell off. He looked around & couldn’t find the owner. His conscience didn’t let him walk away from the car. So he waited for the owner who happened to be praying in a nearby mosque.
The owner finished his prayers & found this 13-year old boy and the damage he has done. He called the police and ordered the boy be put in prison.
Recently, this 13-year old boy just got released from prison, after spending 47 years in prison, at the age of 60 years.
At this point, I broke down in tears.
He was literally moved from one prison to the other all over Nigeria in the course of this 47 years in prison.
He only got released because a governor granted him pardon.
May Nigeria never happen to you.
