WORST DROUGHT: Since 2001 in Florida. Over 85% of the state is in at least severe drought, and over 650 wildfires have occurred so far in 2026. 34 out of 67 Florida counties are currently under a burn ban with more likely added soon. Some places like Tampa have had their least rain on record since September. It could be a prolific end of February and March for wildfires and brush fires if things continue like they are.
