Madaraka Day is a national holiday celebrated every June 1st commemorating the year Kenya attained internal self-rule from the British empire in 1963. The Republic of Kenya was established the following year in 1964.

Not at KGSA! Our school provides each student with feminine hygiene products and educates the girls on how their bodies work.

As we wrap up Mental Health Month, we thank Social Worker Jedidah for her tremendous efforts to promote the importance of mental health. She counsels the girls and staff and facilitates art therapy, yoga & support groups. It’s okay to not be okay; its okay to ask for help!

Meet Latifah, KGSA's devoted school matron! As a guiding force, she empowers girls through education, counseling, and general hygiene. Latifah is passionate about challenging negative narratives surrounding girls from disadvantaged backgrounds and giving back to the community.
