After the storm they send in meteorologists to assess the damage and based on damage, video, radar etc, reconstruct and confirm what weather event occured.

@amarkowitzWX I got hired two years ago in my current role. I am an Air Quality Specialist working for Indiana's Department of Environmental Management. In other words, I'm a state meteorologist working for my state's EPA to collect samples and data to measure air pollution and quality.
