My lofty goal for this book is to ignite a public conversation that reimagines solutions for how we currently talk about loneliness and a host of related crises. I want to build a movement of Americans committed to community-filled lives.
...and show readers how to participate meaningfully in strong communities within our own neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and religious and civic organizations along with through our family lives.
We love: A history lesson about how much of our current parenting culture is fear-driven over at Rebecca Gale's substack, featuring @kgeee and @FreeRangeKids: https://t.co/0y7HAonKZG

you don't want to risk damaging the relationship by asking too often. What if every single day you had to cobble together how to find internet from all of these sources just to do your job and provide for your family?
@hamishmckenzie@Claire I've been able to bring over everyone's email addresses but support was very clear i couldn't bring over their existing recurring stipe payments. is this not true???
Today is a big day for me. I switched from Ghost to Substack. This is a financial risk b/c I can't take my existing paying members with me. And my decision touches on a lot of the issues that make it challenging to be an independent journalist.
@substack I have thought about this long and hard. Substack is by no means perfect, but after a lot of careful consideration, I think this is the right decision for me. I believe what I do is valuable. I want it to reach more people. I want to earn more money for it.
@substack However, without the powerful recommendation and marketing tools I see available on Substack, I’ve concluded that on Ghost, I had plateaued on my total paying members as there’s an expected churn of people who drop off.
