@B_Eichengreen Just a note on the BBC intro: The lev is not “now” pegged to the euro; the latter replaced the former on 1 January 2026. This replacement, preserving a “monetary peace” area such as the eurozone, is a critical difference from monetary unions with a fixed exchange rate system.
