A massive landslide struck Marsella, Risaralda, Colombia, on Saturday, May 17, between the villages of El Nivel and La Ceja, partially damming the La Nona stream.
Hours later, a second, larger landslide fully blocked the stream, increasing the risk of sudden flooding.
Authorities declared a state of maximum alert and began evacuations in the communities of Caracas, Beltrรกn, Sonora, and Palermo.
No casualties have been reported, but the situation remains critical and under close monitoring.
