Personal thoughts: I understand why Trump wants a deal. He wants to avoid a forever war, he wants oil to flow and secure a nuclear agreement.
Fine, do it.
But Hezbollah should not be part of it.
The deal is with Iran, not Hezbollah. A terror proxy does not get the protections of a sovereign state.
I am an American living in northern Israel. I’ve had thousands of rockets and missiles over my head since October 8. We have no reason to believe Hezbollah “the resistance group” will stop rebuilding and rearming.
Make the deal with Iran if you want. Just keep Hezbollah out of it.
Mr. President,
The pager operation against Hezbollah was a masterpiece of modern warfare. Israel also executed a brilliant 12-day operation against Iran that left the regime in shock, its top generals assassinated, and the Ayatollahs held by the throat.
Yet every time Israel had momentum, whether in Gaza, Lebanon, or against Iran, you personally intervened and stopped them at the worst possible moment.
you were personally briefed by Mossad that defeating Iran would take at least a year of consistent pressure. Yet you pushed for quick results, changed the original plan, and turned what could have been a strategic victory into a strategic defeat.
Now, after signing a humiliating deal that buried the Iranian nuclear threat instead of eliminating it, you come out blaming Israel for taking too long and for how it fights.
The question of civilian casualties should be addressed to Hezbollah, not Israel. Hezbollah deliberately operates from within populated civilian areas, using civilians as human shields and endangering their own people.
This strategic failure is not due to Israeli incompetence. The main problem has been your repeated intervention and bad timing.
You don’t get to sabotage the campaign and then blame Israel for the results.
Narrative violation warning:
Elders in my Arab village in Israel told me the richest Palestinians sold their land and left first. 80 years later, their grandkids now claim to be displaced victims.
I am so allergic to victim mindset. It boils my blood. ~15 million displaced Hindus and Muslims in India-Pakistan around the SAME year. No one is trying to be a victim there. It's time to move on.
"You only get to be a victim once. After that, you’re a volunteer."
None. Every country Israel has conducted military strikes against—Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Tunisia—had either attacked Israel, issued explicit threats of attack, or hosted/supported groups (PLO, Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis) that planned or executed attacks on Israel. No exceptions in the historical record.
G-D bless the United States, Israel and all of our troops. Thank you @POTUS for your unwavering support for Democracy and Israel’s right to exist as a home for my people.
Spike Lee showed up to the All-Star Game in a keffiyeh-patterned sweater, carrying a Palestinian flag accessory, while Kyrie Irving wore a shirt “PRESS”, referencing journalists in Gaza.
The setting?
The NBA All-Star Game, where Deni Avdija became the first Israeli in history to play on that stage.
The obsession toward Israel and Israelis is so predictable that even an All-Star Game can’t escape it.
Deni earned the spotlight.
They chased it.
I am ashamed by this.
The Palestinian cause should be ashamed.
Its leaders have been offered a state, peace, and security multiple times over the last 70+ years. They rejected every time.
In West Bank: leaders became corrupt.
In Gaza: leaders became terrorists.
Innocent Palestinians lost in both scenarios.
So this is where we are today.
Asking the world to build a new city for Palestinians. Because their leaders let them down.
Everyone should fully support this plan.
It is the last chance for millions of innocent Palestinians to have a decent life.
@jaredkushner 👏
The fact that there are ZERO college kids protesting what’s happening in Iran right now shows the 2 years of encampments over Israel/Palestine had nothing to do with activism and everything to do with antisemitism.
The collapse of the Islamic regime began with the 12 day war. Iranians may now finish it through their protests.
We aren’t there yet, but we are getting closer.
