๐ฌHappy National Dolphin Day!๐ฌ
Today, we celebrate these amazing mammals and the important role they play in marine ecosystems! In addition to being top predators, these cetaceans can often show us a lot about the health of their habitats!

Humpback ๐'s worldwide have been photographed playing with kelp. A favourite game seems to be flinging kelp from their flippers onto their heads, creating a seaweed wig. We're not fully sure why do they do it, but WDC's Ali Wood has some good theories ๐https://t.co/EMUuUZHQHX
Here's to a whale of a New Year! ๐ณ๐ Thank you to our incredible supporters for your commitment to helping whales and dolphins in 2023. Let's make 2024 a year of positive change for these majestic beings!
"I'm still dazzled by the fact that less than 10% of the ocean has been explored, let alone mapped. We have creatures that are just so exotic, you look at them and think โeat your heart out, Luke Skywalkerโ." @SylviaEarle

"I hope for your help to explore and protect the wild ocean in ways that will restore the health and, in so doing, secure hope for humankind. Health to the ocean means health for us." @SylviaEarle

This fish puts the blue in deep blue sea! The Southern blue devil (Paraplesiops meleagris) is a small reef fish found along Australia's southern coastline.
