@stabby_stab_1 Biblical morals being outdated is subjective itself. Without objectivity, stealing will always be the taking of something owned without the authorization of the owner regardless of reason. Ironically the laws society has made are based on the morality God has set.
@stabby_stab_1@wendelltalks To say the framework for morality is outdated is to say that somehow by some miracle humankind has made objective laws of morality better than whats set. If morality is subjective and subjective morality can sometimes be relative then we all know that statement is untrue.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek You lived your history whether I believe it or not. Me not believing your story doesn’t determine if it was true or false. But I’d believe you more if there were others who lives when you did that could match details of your story without discussing it with you.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek I believe them because I believe God. And I believe God’s word to be true. Those are just extra reasons to back up why I believe them true. Also it’s history. If you told me your life story it makes more sense for me to say “I don’t believe you” rather than “you’re making it up.”
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek They are in the history books because the text and materials they were written on were actually found and translated. There are tests that reveal the age of the found manuscripts. God works still to this day. However He deemed there’s no further reason to add to the text.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek Jesus not returning is irrelevant. Jesus says no one knows when he will return. It doesn’t mean that because he hasn’t yet it’s too late for him. He’s not on our timing. There’s no way to prove that to be true or false. You believe or don’t. He’ll return when it’s time.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek 😂 Yes. When it comes to God scripture is THE ONLY authoritative word. It’s actually more plausible to believe the words of people who actually lived during those times rather than you and I, random people 2000 years later part of country and cultures are unrelated to theirs.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek Those are historical documents written by historical prophets and witnesses of Christ. Historical documents are a telling of events that happened. Different personal accounts that were written containing a lot of the same information from different vantage points. You’re on X.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek There is no bigger picture than the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’ll continue to speak of God, Jesus, humanity, sin, forgiveness, and how we’re forgiven. You have some theology issues that you seem dead set on. I only pray one day God will grant His grace to you to see what’s wrong.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek Except Jesus is written about in the bible. You started off having an issue with Christians studying the books that are written about Jesus. You think God is energy. You don’t even respect them enough to capitalize their names. It’s clear you have a very large misunderstanding.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek The things you’ve been saying evidently shows you don’t read the bible. How can you presume to know God, Jesus, and humanity better than the authors God has given the knowledge and grace to write the books of the bible. You’re either making things or your source is fake.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek It doesn’t mean I don’t ever sin anymore. But God has granted me the grace to recognize that without Jesus I’m not some angel undeserving of His wrath. No one is. It’s extremely dangerous for His word to say man is sinful but you argue with it as if HE’s the one that’s wrong.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek No. I’m no longer a sinner. I have been and is being saved by the one I put my faith and trust in who has provided forgiveness for my sin by taking the wrath of God owed to me and replacing it with his own righteousness that isn’t owed to me.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek This statement itself is wrong. Yes everyone DESERVES punishment for sin. But we are definitely NOT victims. HUMANS are the ones in the wrong NOT God. I see what you’re doing but your mindset is the actual dangerous one. Everything I’ve said you can get yourself from the bible.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek Ma’am where are you getting your idea of what a Christian is supposed to be? I wholeheartedly believe THAT is the authority on God’s word. Every thing I gave you comes from the bible, not my feelings or beliefs. I just happen to believe that the bible is true.
@Shannonkozniuk1@DrFrankTurek How can you know his love and sacrifice without illustrating how God demonstrates it? Or His grace without knowing why it’s needed? Or His mercy without knowing what His wrath is? Or what evil is without knowing His holiness? Respect ALL that He is, not just the parts we want.
