50 people were deceived by a private employment agency and paid 10,000 euros each to come to Cyprus to work for 1,200 euros per month. When they arrived here, they discovered it was a scam and reported it to the police, who after 6 months of investigation decided to recognize 10 out of the fifty as victims of trafficking… The authorities consider the remaining 40 not their concern! Among other things, they received a message from the welfare services that they must leave the housing provided to them, despite the fact that they still don't have permission from Migration to work for another employer, nor help from the labor office to find an eligible employer

50 άτομα ξεγελάστηκαν από ιδιωτικό γραφείο εξευρέσεως εργασίας (Ατζιέντη) και πλήρωσαν 10.000 ευρώ ο καθένας για να έρθουν Κύπρο να εργαστούν για 1200 ευρώ τον μήνα. Όταν ήρθαν εδώ ανακάλυψαν ότι ήταν απάτη και το κατείγγειλαν στην αστυνομία η οποία μετά από 6 μήνες έρευνα αποφάσισε 10 από τους πενήντα να τους αναγνωρίσει ως θύματα εμπορίας… Οι αρχές θεωρούν ότι οι υπόλοιποι 40 δεν τους αφορούν! Μεταξύ άλλων πήραν ένα μήνυμα από τις ΥΚΕ ότι πρέπει να εγκαταλείψουν την στέγη που τους παρέχουν παρά το γεγονός ότι ακόμη δεν έχουν ούτε άδεια από το Μετανάστευσης να εργαστούν σε άλλο εργοδότη, ούτε βοήθεια από το γραφείο εργασίας να βρουν δικαιούχο εργοδότη
