@DVADigital323 Link's Awakening was a 10/10, in every iteration.
But, GameSpot does have a point, even if they're too zoomer to remember earlier ports and remakes (e.g. GBA LttP).
After finishing Mina, I have a craving. It would be pretty amazing to see Oracles again.
Let's break down your statement, please be open-minded. It is okay to have hope, but don't be blinded to things.
- NTH might be right, but the math doesn't add up. We know Nintendo's dev. teams and their respective IPs.
- Nintendo is on the record stating that this is their first console without Super Mario in the advent. They are also on the record hoping Bananza inspires the next Super Mario title.
- Bananza was NOT a different team. EPD 8 started work on Bananza immediately after Odyssey, testing destructable environments. They did this with a goomba model and the S. Kingdom's boss's hands (beta footage exists). Bananza was originally meant to be a 2025 title, before the NS2 was bumped. Two years is too short of a development time, unless they did a reused engine sequel. They do have a second sub-team, that worked on Bowser's Fury (2021), but that is five years of development. Nintendo states their average development time is about seven years, in an investment meeting years ago.
-EPD 8 has always worked on Donkey Kong and 3D Mario, specifically their first games were DK Jungle Beat, Galaxy, etc.
- We know which development teams are assigned to each offices. There are not magical secret new teams, only new second party partners (supervised by Co-Production Team (EPD 1+2, merged years back).
- The key members missing is misinformation. They are referring to Koizumi, who was promoted to Executive Officer in 2018, then Senior Executive Officer in 2020. He is more of an executive manager, rather than project manager, now. There are also: Haruka Kakinuma — Planner on Odyssey
Yusuke Nodama — Planner on Odyssey and Mario Kart World
Programming:
Kazuhiro Musa — Character Programmer on Odyssey
Tatsuro Ota — Network Programmer on Odyssey
Naoki Koga — Program Manager on Odyssey (some wonder if he left Nintendo).
Art:
Rikuto Yoshida — Art Director on Odyssey and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
With these key developers in mind, it is very likely that they started EARLY development/planning on a new 3D Mario in 2021. Seven years, as stated, would imply 2028.
@blayedd_@nin10doland Nah, you can go check out the developer interviews. They frequently talk about what they want the next 3D Mario to "be", wanting DK Bananza to inspire it.
(You can also go onto the JP boards.)
Oh boy, this will split the community. Lol
Prolly why they're calling it "reborn", instead of a "remake". Probably a super high quality remaster.
This is not a bad thing.
A new detail discovered on the official Zelda website may have revealed a bit more about the exact nature of the Ocarina of Time Remake
WATCH: https://t.co/C0kSE7eM0W
The "timeless gameplay" part is highly concerning.
Is it just a half-remake, light on mechanics (no overhaul)? Did they not redesign the world and dungeons?
Might be more of a ground-up remaster+.
‼️ DESCRIPCIÓN DE ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME OFICIAL
➡️ Encontrada descripción extra del remake de Zelda Ocarina Of Time en los metadatos de la página web de Nintendo
"El clásico de N64 renace como un remake completo para Nintendo Switch 2. Vive Ocarina of Time con gráficos impresionantes, diseños actualizados y jugabilidad atemporal."
@HawkHellfire@johniibo Not for a long while.
Usually, it was: I asked for a specific game (and if my grades were good), I got that specific game on my birthday or Christmas.
I like the idea of asking for something and receiving it, that way you always get what you want.
@exponentialtism@Michaeldudufudu Nope.

o unico jeito de um remake de majoras mask fazer jus o original é se ele so tiver 1 ano de desenvolvimento num crunch aonde os devs nao podem ver suas familias
