@Truepastoralist@UDAKenya@HassanOmarH UDA continues to demonstrate that respect for constitutional institutions and political mobilisation can go hand in hand.
The UDA Party @UDAKenya recognises the authority of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), respects its independence and remains committed to upholding its constitutional mandate.
UDA Party Secretary General, Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan @HassanOmarH , reiterated this position when he appeared before the IEBC’s Electoral Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee.
During the proceedings, Sen. Hassan acknowledged Kenya’s rich diversity, including the different languages and expressions through which people communicate across the country.
He clarified his remarks made on 11th September 2026 in Changamwe, Mombasa County, where he called on residents of Mombasa and the wider Coast region to turn out in large numbers to register as voters and exercise their democratic right.
Sen. Hassan explained that his choice of words was metaphorical and intended to emphasise the importance of voter registration and encourage greater participation in the electoral process. His message was aimed at mobilising the people of the Coast region to participate actively in Kenya’s democratic process.
With voter registration estimated at 50 per cent of the eligible voting population, the call was intended to encourage more eligible citizens to register and exercise their democratic right.
The UDA Party remains committed to the rule of law, respect for constitutional institutions and the promotion of democratic participation by all Kenyans.
