🇸🇻 EL SALVADOR BECOMES ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST ATTRACTIVE BITCOIN TAX HAVENS

President Nayib Bukele’s latest residency reform slashes the physical presence requirement for temporary residents from 9 months to just 90 days per year.

Combined with El Salvador’s territorial tax system, the benefits are significant:

• 0% tax on foreign-source income
• 0% capital gains tax on Bitcoin
• No wealth tax
• No inheritance tax
• No gift tax

A 2024 tax reform explicitly exempted foreign-source income for both residents and non-residents, making the country increasingly attractive to entrepreneurs, investors, remote workers, and digital nomads earning abroad.

The incentives extend to businesses as well. Companies operating under qualifying technology export, international services, and free zone regimes can receive up to 15 years of tax exemptions, including relief from corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, import duties, and capital gains taxes.

The move further strengthens El Salvador’s position as a global hub for Bitcoiners, entrepreneurs, and internationally mobile capital.

This political cartoon really sums it up.

For years, Democrats have built entire campaigns around demonizing “the rich.” They sneer at successful people, blame them for every problem, call them greedy, promise to punish them, and then act shocked when those same people decide they have had enough.

That is the part the left never seems to understand.

People with money, businesses, investments, and options do not have to stay in a state that treats them like villains. They can move. They can take their companies with them. They can take their jobs with them. They can take their tax revenue with them. And more and more often, they do.

Then what happens?

The politicians who promised “free” everything suddenly discover that the money is gone. The activists who cheered for higher taxes suddenly discover that businesses closed, jobs dried up, and opportunity packed a moving truck headed for a red state.

And the ordinary people left behind pay the price.

That is the lie at the center of leftist economics. They pretend they are only going after some faceless group of millionaires and billionaires, but once the businesses leave, the damage lands on workers, families, small towns, and struggling communities.

They wanted to punish success, then acted surprised when success left.

Despicable and disgusting.

The truth is simple, you cannot tax prosperity into staying, you cannot shame entrepreneurs into investing, and you cannot build a healthy state by chasing away the very people who create jobs and pay the bills.

Maybe voters should remember that in November.

Because when Democrats tell you they are only going after “the rich,” what they really mean is that everyone else will be stuck cleaning up the mess after the money leaves.
