Somewhere in America right now, a middle school is promoting a student to high school who cannot read. An elementary school passed them first. Everyone was nice about it. Nobody helped.
You want to fix education?
Teach kids how to fail and try again. Resilience is not built by removing every obstacle. It is built by hitting the wall and figuring out what comes next.
Nobody talks about the kid who has never been allowed to fail. Every assignment is redone until it is right. Every grade is negotiated by a parent who cannot watch their child struggle. Every obstacle is removed before he reaches it. He will fail eventually. We just made sure he has no idea what to do when he does.
@MarcWest79@cspotweet You people have to make everything about "the left." You are obsessed! People who work in schools with kids are the ones who know this is a terrible idea. I wouldn't want my kid in a class with an uncertified teacher. It's common sense 😑
@Freetob44@citynewscalgary@bigmothufacking His meltdowns are even more entertaining 😂 It's pathetic when a business owner has no real creative ideas other than making nasty posts to cater to a specific base. It's sad that it works for some people 💙 Also, come up with a new insult, that word is getting boring 💅🏼
@furmsies The original owner passed away years ago and this clown took over the business. He is an immigrant named Faruk. If you want the same style but better quality pizza without the bigotry in Airdrie try Old Town or Alexander's ❤️
@KingFarmer13@GlobalEdmonton Climate change is actually part of the UCP's new elementary science curriculum. You are more than welcome to take a look, all of the curriculums are public knowledge ❤️
@bradktennant At this point Carney's liberals are closer to true conservatives than the conservative party is. The party needs to stop catering to its far right base and go back to true conservative values. If they did that, they'd get a lot of votes back.
@denisebatters Instead, try saying "Congratulations to our silver medalists. Thank you for making Canada proud ladies". That's how a leader responds ❤️
@demetriosnAB So my Gr. 5 classroom will remain at 31 kids, 11 complexities, and 1 teacher? Not only will you not be able to find teachers or EAs to fill these positions, you aren't even going to make a dent in the amount of needs in the province
