.@JoelEmbiid’s story should be that he didn’t start playing basketball until high school & became one of the best & most skilled players of all time.
But your tweet was spot on. If people truly knew what Joel has played through, they would appreciate him even more.
Joe Rogan: Why are you a Democrat?
.@JamesTalarico: My mother met my birth father, who had a drinking problem that sometimes led to being violent. My mom decided right then and there that she was leaving. She found a little apartment in East Austin and worked double duty at a hotel to provide for us. She saw Texas Democrats like Ann Richards, people who fought for the little guy. That was the classic Democratic Party. I asked my mom what we were, and she was like, ‘We're Democrats, because Democrats fight for the people.’ Our historical legacy is the party that fights for the little guy. That's why I'm a Democrat.
New York, thank you for everything truly. The love I’ve been shown here for the past 4-5 years has been nothing short of amazing, both on and off the field. Y’all will always hold a special place in my heart. Wish all of my former coaches and former teammates the best!! Thank all of y’all for sharing a battlefield with me.

Hunter Biden really is the most ethical degenerate ever. No Epstein Pedo shit, Hunter simply just enjoys getting blazed out of his mind with consenting Latina sex workers of age. He’s a proper American Freak, a man of the people honestly.
NBA superstar Kyrie Irving was photographed today wearing a pro-Palestine tee from Wear The Peace honoring Gaza journalist Saleh al-Jafarawi.
Al-Jafarawi was a widely followed citizen journalist and table-tennis player who was shot dead in Gaza City in Oct. 2025 by Israel-allied gangs while covering post-ceasefire clashes. After his killing, Meta removed his Instagram account, erasing years of on-the-ground documentation from Gaza, including material cited by human rights groups as evidence of Israeli war crimes.
While most American athletes and NBA stars have stayed silent during the live-streamed 26-month genocide in Gaza, @KyrieIrving has been among the few to stand with Palestine publicly.
That matters in a league where political speech carries consequences. Fellow NBA star Dwight Howard has said that after tweeting “Free Palestine” during the 2014 Gaza war, he received calls within minutes from the NBA commissioner’s office urging him to delete his post. Since Oct. 2023, only a small handful of NBA players have spoken out at all.
