“Farmers of the future” cycling their way around Parliament Square in toy tractors after (adult) protesters were told they would face arrest for blocking London roads with their vehicles
Fantastic video from these young farmers explaining the basic economics and mathematics of the inheritance tax law that Rachel Reeves from customer service and is clearly incapable of.
Please share this to inform the left wing echo chamber where needed.

This time next week @thecsp members and @thecspstudents will be in Manchester for #CSPARC24
As one of the Regional Stewards for the South West I’ll be leading our delegation as we debate motions on multiple issues, both profession and Trade Union focused, including #AdvancedPractice, #WorkforceIssues, #SupportingDiversity and #FinancialIssues
With motions coming from and being debated by members it’s an important piece of the democratic puzzle that makes up the CSP
If fortunate enough to be elected onto #CSPCouncil I will work to ensure that
- Members continue to feel their voices are heard
- The organisation acts in a manner that is financially sound
- When decisions are made that have a direct impact on members, for example subscription rises, the rationale for the decisions taken are clearly explained to members

My #CSPCouncilElection statement and video
I became a member of the CSP back in 2008 when I was a student physiotherapist. Inspired by the physiotherapy my Aunt received following a Stroke, it was the receipt of a Christmas card that she wrote during a Physiotherapy session that spurred me on to complete my studies.
Since qualifying I’ve worked clinically in both the Community and Acute sectors, managed staff across medical and Elderly Care wards and co-led Therapies provision for ICU and medical patients during the first and second waves of Covid. I enjoy being a practice educator and supporting students at all stages of their respective study. In my current role as a Parkinson’s Specialist Practitioner I work alongside the wider MDT across the patient pathway to support People with Parkinson’s. This also includes medication management, having completed my Non-Medical Prescribing course.
As an active Regional Steward I support members locally within my Trust, other stewards throughout the South West and hold a strategic role on the National Group of Regional Stewards. As an active trade unionist, I am passionate about ensuring members’ voices are heard and have supported members to attend the Annual Representatives Conference (ARC) and have myself presented motions at both ARC and the Trades Union Congress. This has included speaking up on issues including workers’ rights in Dubai and calling for better funding for mental health services.
Outside of my role in the NHS I am a visiting lecturer at two universities, teaching on the Physiotherapy and Non-Medical Prescribing courses. This has allowed me to maintain a working knowledge of the current challenges faced by students, educators and educational bodies. I am also active on X, @physio_rob, where I try to keep abreast of the latest news and professional issues across all healthcare settings.
If fortunate enough to be elected to CSP Council I will continue to ensure that member views are represented from across the profession, at all levels. At the same time, I will work with the CSP staff and other Council members to ensure the organisation continues to support the development of the profession and its members.

'By the time that you watch this I will no longer be here'
A poignant final message from the Leeds Rhinos legend and MND campaigner recorded before his death for a special BBC documentary 'There's Only One Rob Burrow'

Dear Mr Sunak,
On behalf of pretty much every doctor in the land, pretty much every person on a waiting list in the land, pretty much every sick person in the land, and increasingly most voters in the land...
I don't want lower taxes.
I want hospital beds.
Trains that run on time.
Kids who aren't too hungry to learn.
Libraries in every town.
Rivers that don't run with slurry.
Local councils not forced into bankruptcy.
Politicians who don't venally line their own pockets.
BREAKING: SOUTH AFRICA FOREIGN MINISTER OFFICIAL STATEMENT
“Israel was not deterred by the decisions of the Court of Justice and the evidence is to continue its war in Rafah
The decision to stop the fighting in Gaza is in the hands of the countries that supply Israel with money and weapons
What concerns us is that Israel is allowed to ignore the ruling of the Court of Justice and not protect civilians
The actions of the Israeli government prove what we submitted to the Court of Justice regarding genocide
We condemn the targeting of journalists in general and Al Jazeera journalists in particular, and this is a criminal act.”
"I have never experienced anything like I experienced in Gaza..."
This doctor spent two weeks over Christmas working in the European Hospital in Khan Younis with the charity IDEALS, helping treat people with severely traumatic wounds.
This is what Andy Ferguson saw.
I don't know about you, but It's almost impossible to function as a human being.
I know this is true for many people around the world, and the reality is that the carnage being carried out by Israel is shocking and sickening.
It has changed my perception of the world forever.
I will never trust Western media or journalists again who push out constant lies and do not challenge or indeed provide evidence. They think we are stupid.
The silence and complicity of the genocide by western governments are beyond comprehension.
𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲t....
Seeing horrific videos of dangling people that have been blasted into smithereens.
Parts of people being carried in polythene bags with the body parts visible but unrecognisable in the sea of blood and fluid.
People killed holding a white flag. A mother and child lying motionless on the floor with blood pouring from their bodies.
Children shivering in shock and fear
I will never ever forget the helpless voice of a little girl asking to be saved on a telephone call but then killed together with the ambulance crew sent to save her. This will haunt me forever. Hind Rajab is her name and will be etched in our broken hearts forever.
Casualties that can not be recovered or saved due to sniper fire
Almost 400 healthcare workers killed.
Ambulances targeted and crew killed
All hospitals targeted with bombs and soldiers shooting medical staff
Mosques, churches and all of the universities destroyed
Amputations and other surgical operations being carried out with no anaesthesia
Endless bodies covered in white shrouds being comforted by the arms and tears from their loved ones
New terminologies and acronyms like
Wounded Childed No Surviving Family - WCNSF
Or
Educide - mass destruction Gazas educational infrastructure
Bodies decomposing for days
Large mass graves
Israeli soldiers celebrating on tik tok, making a mockery of death and killing
Prisoners and civilians being forced to kneel in underwear and blindfolded and humiliated.
28 000 killed
12 000 children killed
68 000 injured
60% of buildings destroyed or damaged
Displacement of 1.7 million people and being displaced multiple times like the hunger games or squid games
Leaflets in the air forcing civilians to move and then targeting them whilst evacuating
Israeli civilians blocking aid into Gaza
I can't possibly imagine the anguish and horrors facing the Gazans every single day.
I have been to Gaza many times for medical missions and our current collective helplessness is overwhelming.
This needs to stop for the sake of humanity.
There is no trust left in our governments or leaders and in human rights.
The world has changed forever as the genocide against the Palestinians of Gaza is being livestreamed.

On Friday 12th January 2024, we held a vigil in London outside the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy to mourn the loss of the 30 physiotherapists killed in Gaza & to urge our health union as well as all those across the world to call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire now!
Professional Head of Physiotherapy @GlosHealthNHS A fabulous opportunity to lead the profession in delivering personalised, high quality care. I look forward to working with the successful applicant as part of our dynamic @GlosAHPs community.

@sambaguleyart Yep lots going on with growing bones, muscle changes and not being fully mature. Definitely better to scan in this case. It’s always a concern for young athletes and X-rays just don’t show quite enough detail to rule out
@sambaguleyart Nope won’t pick up until actually fractured! By which time all a bit late. There are different stages of stress fracture and want to pick it up before it gets to actually fractured. Definitely MRI! Fingers crossed all ok. Shout if you need anything!
