I was surprised at the lineup as well, didn’t think Volpe would be in over jazz because of the reverse splits and jazz has a homer off tolle. Thought it would be cabby over Rosario and didn’t think Lombard would bat 5th and Jones 8th who also has reverse splits. My only conclusion is he set the lineup so it’s harder for them to matchup against us with their bullpen and puts us in better pitch hit situations and gives us 2 really good pitch runners who can play good defense as well but we’ll see how it goes. You can’t always rely on the regular season numbers in postseason games but you have to at least put them in consideration but I wouldn’t have guessed this lineup and batting order in 100 guesses probably

I would bet my entire life savings that Aaron Judge told the Yankees that Cam Schlittler can't start game one.

As someone who grew up on Thurman Munson's selflessness and how well he got along with his teammates, it's sad that no one can upstage the current captain, since this will be his second triumphant return in the last 30 days. Obviously Schlittler would take his spotlight so I'm mad just thinking about this.

Look I get that Schlittler had an all time season and normally would start any game 1 but no matter if it’s game 1 or 2 he still wouldn’t be ready for game 1 of the ALDS if they make it and would be ready for game 2 and 5 so can we stop acting like Max Fried sucks or something and it’s ludicrous that he could start game 1. He’s 24-10 with a 2.83 era and a WHIP barely above 1, the list of pitchers with that resume is very short #mlbplayoffs #mlb #yankees

Hope is a dangerous thing; it is one of human’sfatal flaws. It keeps us going when everyone else has given up; our brains won’t allow us think that way. Hope is also an inspiring thing, it makes us do things we didn’t know we were capable of, it creates moments you fill never forget in your life. As much as hope can be a determent to us it can also be a life saver in the same way, it’s that light at the very end of the tunnel, the light that sometimes we cannot reach no matter what but as long as we can see the light we keep going. Hope makes us do crazy things, completely irrational things that make sense at the time but only viewed through your eyes. Hope can also be the most beautiful thing in the world; it can show us the beauty in the world when everything seems dark. We have to be the only species in mankind that believes in hope, that relies on hope this much and have it play such a significant role in our lives. Hope is something that we can’t live without, regardless of how we feel about it. It’s part of our DNA, it’s what makes us, us. There is nothing like it, it can be the most terrifying or most beautiful thing in the world and not really much of an in between. It’s a feeling all on its own. When there’s nothing left to do, it is the only thing that remains, when you can’t handle a situation, it’s the only thing you have. It is with us always whether we like it or not. Hope can feel like a drug and even though it doesn’t cost any money it can cost you a lot more that any monetary value. We use hope to make us feel good about things or people we aren’t sure about, it makes you want to believe the good in people, even if our gut tells us something different. Hope can get you killed but at the same time be the thing that keeps you alive. Hope can be your only friend in the darkness. Hope is the evil cousin of wishing, you cant wish hope away, you can only hope you can wish it away. So why do we continue to hope; cause we hope that it helps us and as crazy as that sounds it’s the truth and that’s why all humans are flawed from the start, its why humanity will end at some point, hoping that an event wont happen no matter how inevitable it may be but itll be that hope that makes us try anyways. Hope to me is something that I hope I never lose sight of, something that makes me stay positive and makes me believe in myself and keeps me who I am and that’s all I can hope for. #hope
